Illinifest Student Film Festival is happy to announce a new partnership with Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology has resulted in the Festival’s first annual “Beckman Institute Award for Science in Film.” Midwest director Teddy Holcomb’s film Sequential will receive the inaugural award for the 2018 Illinifest Student Film Festival, which includes a Festival trophy and a monetary prize donated by the Beckman Institute.
Illinifest Student Film Festival hopes to continue this award in the coming years and encourage filmmaking in our region that explores issues related to science and technology. Additionally, Illinifest would like to thank the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology for their support of local and student filmmaking, and we look forward to building this relationship in the future!
